I think crushed walnut shells would be a good alternative. Heavier. I've made a few square 4.5" pin cushions with the crushed walnut shells and they give the cushion some weight. 😊

I have to agree 100%. I have owned this machine for around 6 years. I do not use the needle threader for the same reason. It is a pain. If this machine ever becomes a top loading bobbin.....id buy that one. 😂

I love the quilt! The colors are fantastic. I purchased some garments at a garage sale that was held by African immigrants and the garments were in the fantastic prints similar to yours. I've been upcycling them and making pouches and bags with them and I like your idea of making hexie flowers with them. I think I'll applique some on the fronts of tote bags. I need to find the fabric first. I just moved and it will require a search. LOL. Thanks for your inspirations!
